Optimize the experience and passenger flow - Individual project
This course, Advanced Concept Design, focussed primarily on the conceptualization phase of a product design.
Out of 20 other projects, my design of the new check-in hall was chosen to be further developed by the project owners from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
CREATE
I generated and visualized a promising clear layout and friendly intuitive signs throughout the hall.
USER TESTING
By creating small paper mockups, the understandability of the signs is tested and evaluated by users.
DESIGN
I delivered a new layout that optimizes the experience and passenger flow through the check-in hall. The sign suggests a gate in a subtle and original way. By this, passengers will experience a more comfortable journey.
ENGINEERING
Detailing the concept by CAD Modelling and technical documentation.
